Introducing Dr. Castillo
Dr. Stephanie Castillo is a dermatologist dedicated to providing thoughtful, comprehensive care and building lasting relationships with her patients. She approaches dermatology with the philosophy of being a “family doctor for the skin”—a trusted physician who comes to know her patients over time and cares for their skin through every stage of life.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Castillo earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Dartmouth College before continuing her education at Dartmouth Medical School. She completed her dermatology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. During her training, she developed a strong connection to Hampton Roads and ultimately chose to make the region her home, drawn to its coastal character, welcoming communities, and rich diversity.
Dr. Castillo is particularly passionate about the relationships that develop through continuity of care. She believes that understanding a patient’s individual needs, priorities, and experiences is an essential part of providing exceptional dermatologic care. Her approach emphasizes attentive listening, patient education, and personalized treatment, with the goal of helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the care they receive.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Castillo enjoys spending time with her two children and family. She also loves exploring Hampton Roads and discovering new restaurants throughout the region.
